About Universal Travel Pass
The Maharashtra government in India has launched an e-pass system for people who have received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. After 14 days following your vaccination course’s completion date, you can now apply via email to receive this pass that will allow you unlimited travel through local train services across Mumbai and its suburbs.
The state government is turning to digital platforms in order to make life easier for the public. In recent news, they launched a new online portal that will allow citizens of Mumbai and Pune city’s railways access their e-passes through CoWIN application easily by inputting just his or her phone number linked with registration on COVID-19 vaccine certificate verification process.
How to apply for Universal Travel Pass
The best way to get a pass for the vaccination program is via their website at epassmsdma.mahait.org, where you can enter your mobile number and receive an OTP that will allow you access on the site automatically. Once there, just fill in all of your information into specific fields like name or beneficiary reference number so they know who needs vaccines and what vaccinations are needed based on age groups (i would recommend getting them). Then upload a photo of yourself. Finally once complete select ‘generate’ which should take less than 10 minutes maximum. You will receive a link in 48 hours via SMS. Click on the link when received, the e-pass will then be saved in your phone’s gallery.
Facing Issues in Application?
If you are facing issues in applying for the e-pass, try to open the link from different devices. Also, if you use a VPN service, you might face issues in opening the link. Try disconnecting the VPN.
